We’re halfway through the year.
The cost of living is still biting, and many people are quietly wondering if there’s another way to get ahead, meet their needs, and build stronger local connections.
There is.
For 38 years, BrisLETS has been bringing people together to exchange skills, share food, trade goods, and help one another without money needing to be the centre of every interaction.
Each month we gather in person to reconnect, share what we have, and discover what others can offer. It’s a practical way to save money, reduce waste, build friendships, and strengthen community.
More and more people are looking for stronger local connections, practical support, and a sense of community.
BrisLETS is a place where people come together to share skills, exchange goods and services, help one another, and build relationships that make life a little easier and a lot more interesting.
Local Action Groups are part of the BrisLETS structure, creating opportunities for people to connect with others in their local area around shared interests, activities and community projects.They meet when convenient to them. This bigger structure connects members from all parts of the exchange.
Whether you have something to trade, something to offer, or you’re simply curious, come along and experience what happens when people help each other as they would a friend.
Come along and see what you’ve got that someone else needs – and what they might have that could surprise you.

Carpooling is encouraged.
Friends, family, neighbours, and curious newcomers are all welcome.

BrisLETS members are increasingly meeting between trading days for coffee catch-ups, backyard swaps, shared meals, and neighbourhood gatherings. If you’ve got a few people nearby who would enjoy connecting and exchanging skills or resources, that’s enough to get something started.
