Thanks again PJ Humphries and Michael Cahill for letting us know about this local community event last Saturday and inviting BrisLETS. In the end, it was just me (Simon) transporting the equipment and with Rob’s help setting up. Rob was fantastically devoted to minding the table for the whole morning as I was away on another mission. Unfortunately, it was behind the hall an nobody came there, so Rob spent some time in front of the hall and took a few enquiries. It would have been much better if we had a table on the main street in front of the shops where I noted there were vacant spaces and lots of passers by. I think in future we need to ask a few more question about location and also how much the event has been promoted, as considerable time can be spent trying recruit and then coordinate volunteers and advertising participation in local community events like these.
